Conveniently located at St Anthony’s Primary School, your child will benefit from our close relationship with the school. Our children make weekly visits to the school library to borrow books and your child will be given responsibility for caring for and returning these books. They also enjoy visits with their grade four reading buddies, visits to the prep classrooms and playgrounds and attending school events including sports carnivals, book week and liturgies. During each visit your child will become more familiar with the school grounds and and learn practical new skills, like how to use the water bubblers. Our educators will watch your child’s confidence grow as they become part of our broader school and parish community and prepare for prep.
At St Anthony’s we have expansive natural outdoor play areas which provide children with a unique learning environment that encourages creativity and exploration. We believe each child is unique and learns differently. Our educators will spend time getting to know your child and family so that they can create engaging learning experiences that capture their interest and help them build new skills.
We offer a Queensland Government approved kindergarten program taught by a university qualified early childhood teacher. As a sessional kindergarten children complete a five-day fortnight, during school hours and school terms.
St Anthony's teacher Paul uses play to challenge children and develop their self-confidence. He explains that when children are at play they feel supported and are less likely to fear failure. By helping the children set up an obstacle course to guide the ball through, Paul is helping to build their motor skills in a fun and comfortable environment, helping their confidence to grow.
With resources kept at a child-friendly height, children have the freedom to select the resources they want to engage with and are given responsibility for caring for and using them well.

Children express their creativity and practice literacy and numeracy concepts as they paint, draw, design and produce.

Gathered around their prayer table the children start their day by paying their respects to the sky, land and waters that they share with the Quandamooka people. This beautiful, age-appropriate acknowledgement of country, which they recite together, with special hand movements fosters children’s engagement with diversity and appreciation of First Nations Traditions. At the heart of our offering is a deep commitment to nurturing children’s growth by instilling values of self-respect, respect for others, and reverence for all cultures.

For children, creativity and curiosity are essential tools to explore their world and foster growth. To nurture these qualities, we create open play spaces that empower children to express themselves freely. Our expansive grounds provide for ever-changing outdoor play opportunities. The children spend time outdoors every day moving from the sandpit, to stepping stones, climbing equipment and balancing beams. They also enjoy the opportunity to create their own play spaces, bringing together loose play equipment to build and create.
Tending to our worm farm the children are learning patience, responsibility, and the importance of sustainable practices. We use our worm farm to process our food scraps and other organic materials rather than send them to landfill. The children enjoy gardening and connecting with nature, and grow respectfully as they become more aware of the role they can play in caring for our environment

Current Fee Schedule
Fees are reviewed annually and may be increased each year. Quality care for children, affordability for families and financial viability of the service are the key elements in determining fees.
