St Vincent’s Outside School Hours Care provides quality care for school age children from St Vincent’s Primary School and Surfers Paradise Catholic Parish.
Our program supports working families by providing a safe environment before and after school that is designed to cater to children’s age, skills, interests and abilities.
We run a flexible and adaptable child-initiated program incorporating children’s ideas, cultures and interests. We view each child as having preparedness, potential, curiosity and interest in constructing their own learning and in negotiating everything the environment presents to them. We provide guidance and support to children so they can discover, explore and create something new everyday.
Our centre strives to foster a culture that celebrates diversity and interdependence and we encourage children to value and respect each other. We encourage free play and promote both indoor and outdoor, individual and group experiences.
